Balanced ocular solution for dogs and cats based on 1% N-Acetyl-Carnosine, Witch Hazel, Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose and Benzalkonium chloride, which helps to reduce lens opacity. N-Acetyl-Carnosine improves lens transparency and optimises vision. It has antioxidant properties that protect the cell membrane lipids and lens proteins from oxidative damage. Also, thanks to its antiglycation effect, it reduces the formation and accumulation of non-enzyme glycation products and the protein crosslinking that causes lens opacity. Witch Hazel acts as an astringent, vasoconstrictor, decongestant, tonic, revitaliser and antimicrobial agent. Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose increases intraocular N-Acetyl- Carnosine absorption and its persistence in the conjunctival sac. It also acts as a lubricant, with protective and decongestive properties to relieve ocular irritation. Benzalkonium chloride acts as an antiseptic.
Solution with a pH of 7.0-7.5.
Indications
• Prevents and partially reverts the formation of senile cataracts.
• Sclerosis of the lens.
• For the treatment of ophthalmic disorders with an oxidative component in their aetiology.
Directions for use
Apply 1 or 2 drops twice day, in each affected eye, by squeezing the container.
