Glutamine Peptide is a more soluble and stable form than normal glutamine (1,5 g of glutamine peptide correspond to about 4,5 g of normal L-Glutamine). Dipeptides are used for Total Parenteral Nutrition as released forms of L-Glutamine. Since high concentrations of L-Glutamine find difficulty in solubilizing in water (1 g dissolves in 28,4 ml of water at 300°C), the choice of glutamine peptides helps to solve the problem. Glutamine Peptide is one of the most essential amino acids and is definitely the most required nutrient by athletes. It has an immune modulatory and anti-catabolic / anabolic activity (prevents the breakdown of muscle proteins after hard training and forms others), it also acts to protect the intestinal mucosa barrier, can be an antioxidant, favours recovery and increases cell volume, being vehicle of water and other nutrients.
