Pharmadiet Veterinaria Oleoderm 60 caps

Food supplement based on fish oil with a high content of EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid), borage oil rich in GLA (Gamma Linolenic Acid) and LA (Linoleic Acid), Zinc and group B Vitamins (B1, B2, B5, B6, B12, Folic Acid and Biotin), indicated for the control of skin disorders in dogs and cats that involve inflammation, pruritus, erythema, dryness, hyperkeratosis, alopecia and other skin problems. EPA and DHA reduce the synthesis of highly pro-inflammatory eicosanoids and enable the biosynthesis of less active eicosanoids with less or no inflammatory activity. GLA increases the biosynthesis of anti-inflammatory eicosanoids (PGE1 and 15-HETE). It is an essential fatty acid for the maintenance of skin integrity. LA is an essential fatty acid for the correct function of the stratum corneum as a protective barrier limiting transcutaneous water loss. Zinc and the group B Vitamins are necessary for maintaining healthy skin and coat. Their deficiencies can lead to alopecia, erythema, crusts and pruritus.
